Most popular Hollywood movies on Alien Encounters, a few modern ones such as Independence Day, Oblivion, Edge of Tomorrow, Alien vs Predator etc.) focus on action and all that doom and gloom that comes with it.
However, I have come across a few of really intriguing concepts portrayed in movies, about Will we really even understand the Aliens, if we do come across them.
Two movies did a great impact on me, Arrival (2016) and Contact (1997). Both movies show the lack of maturity of the general populace to comprehend the idea or fear of the human beings that Aliens are here to get us. My point is, with the kind of advanced tech the Aliens possess, they were here to destroy us, they can do so without us knowing about it.
Why does it become so difficult to act with compassion, and trying to really understand what the other party is saying. Luckily, in both movies, it’s one strong-willed person who goes against the shared views of the whole world and saves the day.
